Mike Anderson with Fairway Mortgage got my deal done after Veterans United did what they're notorious for... dropping you within the last week or two of closing. I thought I was good-to-go with Veterans United until their underwriters decided to play Chancellor and tell me how much child support I was supposed to be paying based on my child support papers. Instead of following the court order, they decided that my VA income was to be factored into my AGI, which is flat-out wrong. Anyway, VU told me that I'd need to find a co-signer less than two weeks from closing. My realtor connected me with Mike, the loan officer local to my area, and he did more than just get me to the closing table. He went above and beyond and got me there with virtually no cash out of pocket. I am grateful for him and Fairway Mortgage, and I recommend you contact them. They are reasonable and competitive, and their service is unmatched!
