You couldn't be nicer and more helpful in answering my questions. This was my first rodeo, and I had no idea how it worked/what to expect or do, and you were very patient with me. I appreciate it very much!
One thing re: feedback/comments: I had been expecting a conversation to explain what my options were, what the best choice would be, what the process entailed/etc. That could be on me in that I was supposed to ask those questions - but when I got the initial doc virtually to sign and asked whether there was going to be a conversation later and should I just sign that to keep the process moving, the response was yes, there would be a conversation later and best to keep things moving. You did offer to chat then, but since there was going to be one later, I thought I'd just wait and quickly sign the doc. And then when we got to the point where you shared the rate with me (I think that's what it was), I asked a question about whether it was a fixed/adjustable, and the response that it was late in the game to be changing/looking at something different. All of which is to say: for first-time folks like myself, I think more of an explanation of what is going to happen and when to ask questions would be really helpful. When I had questions, you were fabulously kind, but I don't know what I don't know/when to ask all the things. So, it would have been great to be more proactive/upfront with that info. At that point I felt like I had missed a step I was supposed to have done re: due dilligence and whatnot, and I had basically placed all my trust in you guys. Which again is on me for not doing enough research to understand the process, and I legitimately do believe I can trust that you had my best interest in mind, but it was a momentary panic of "oh boy, what have I done?" It wasn't until the closing where we walked through all the details which made me feel completely comfortable - that was the conversation I had been expecting with you guys and much earlier. At that point, it was a done deal, so if I had had any concerns, it would've been too late (basically).
Sharing just as a head's up into what it looks/feels like from this side of the equation, not as a knock. I truly appreciate your help and guidance and have no residual doubts or anything!
