Derek and Hannah were great to deal with and I would recommend them. I had a tight timeline for closing, and they made it happen. What I didn't like or appreciate was my information being shared/sold to third parties for insurance services and utility setup. I get that the company is trying to extract every dollar it can from a transaction, but a consumer should be able to opt out of these services without being called multiple times.
On the insurance front, I worked with Fiona, and she solicited me via text message without identifying who she was, just that she was from Fairway mortgage. That's misleading and made me feel I needed to call back in a timely fashion to ensure my loan wasn't held up. I worked with Fiona and she was very nice during the process, but when I informed her that I was going with a local agent, I didn't even get a "Totally understand, let us know what we can do to earn your business or if anything falls through." Not even a "thanks" email.
On the utilities front, I emailed and told multiple people to remove my name from the service. I didn't need it and I didn't want it. It was annoying to have to tell people multiple times, even after closing.
